Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Solhbihai Studio Ltd ("we", "us", "the studio") collects when you use this website or contact us, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small, and we do not sell it or share it with advertising networks.
1. Who we are
Solhbihai Studio Ltd is a company registered in England & Wales under company number 15238470, with its registered office at 27 Rivington Street, London EC2A 3DU, United Kingdom. Our VAT number is GB 476 2231 88. For any question about this policy or your data, contact hello@solhbihai.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
2. Data we collect
We collect three categories of personal data:
- Contact form submissions. When you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, optional subject line and message you provide. Our server also records the IP address and browser user-agent associated with the submission, which we use to prevent abuse and spam.
- Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider's servers automatically record standard technical information for each request: your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, the referring page and your browser user-agent. These logs help us keep the site secure and diagnose faults.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use a small number of cookies. Only strictly necessary cookies are set without your consent; analytics, functional and marketing cookies are set only if you agree through our consent banner. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16, and we do not collect special category data (such as health or biometric information) through this website.
3. How we use your data
We use the data above only for clear, limited purposes: to respond to your enquiry and correspond with you about a potential or existing engagement; to operate, secure and improve the website; to detect, prevent and investigate spam, fraud and abuse; and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. If we later wish to use your data for a new and incompatible purpose, we will tell you first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.
4. Lawful bases for processing
Under the UK GDPR we rely on the following lawful bases. We process contact submissions on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services, and, where a relationship proceeds, to take steps at your request prior to entering a contract. We process server logs and necessary cookies on the basis of our legitimate interest in a secure, functioning website. We process optional analytics, functional and marketing cookies only on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
5. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Our consent banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies by category — Analytics, Marketing and Functional — while strictly necessary cookies remain active because the site cannot work without them. We implement Google Consent Mode so that, until you agree, no analytics or advertising storage is used. Note that this website does not currently load any third-party analytics or advertising scripts at all; the consent controls are in place so that they can be respected if such tools are ever added. Full details, including specific cookie names and durations, are in our Cookie Policy.
6. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers. We share it only with a small set of service providers who help us run the studio, and only to the extent needed:
- Hosting provider. Our website and contact database are hosted on infrastructure provided by a reputable European hosting company that processes data on our behalf under a data-processing agreement and stores it within the UK/EU.
- Email provider. When we reply to you, your message and email address are processed by our business email provider.
- Professional and legal advisers. Where necessary, and our accountants for statutory record-keeping.
We may also disclose data if required to do so by law, or to protect our rights, safety or property. Where any provider processes data outside the UK or EEA, we ensure an appropriate safeguard such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses is in place.
7. How long we keep it
We keep contact form submissions for up to 24 months after our last correspondence with you, unless we enter into a client relationship, in which case we retain relevant records for the duration of the engagement and for up to six years afterwards to meet UK contractual and tax obligations. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days. Cookie lifetimes vary by cookie and are listed in the Cookie Policy. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
8. Your rights under UK & EU GDPR
You have the right to: request access to the personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct inaccurate data; ask us to erase data where there is no good reason for us to keep it; object to or restrict our processing; withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it; and request portability of data you provided to us. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@solhbihai.com. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
9. Your rights under the CCPA
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and the purposes for which we use it (set out above), the right to request access to and deletion of that information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA, so no opt-out of sale is required — but you may still exercise your access and deletion rights by contacting hello@solhbihai.com. We will verify your request using the email address associated with your data.
10. Contact and changes
For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, email our privacy contact at hello@solhbihai.com or write to Solhbihai Studio Ltd, 27 Rivington Street, London EC2A 3DU, United Kingdom. We may update this policy from time to time; when we make material changes we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you directly.
